Introduction
The aim of this guide is to help you find a list of manufacturers or distributors for a given product, service, or industry. Company directories basically contain summary information on the companies listed (names and addresses, contact people, websites). Some company websites include links to detailed industrial catalogues, which list products distributed or manufactured by the respective company and often include technical descriptions that could prove useful for your academic assignments.
In company directories in electronic format, one can perform searches by product name, by the company name, and sometimes even by industry or industry sectors. This guide also provides resources related to industry classifications.
