Current codes in Québec

Construction codes, available in paper format in the Library, currently in effect in Québec, according to the Régie du bâtiment du Québec. Previous versions of the codes are also available in the Library. 

The most recent modifications to the Québec construction codes are available on the Québec government official publication website, LégisQuébec (in French).

National building codes - electronic format

The electronic version of the codes below can be accessed by first clicking on the title. A "View eBook" button will then be displayed if the electronic version is available.

Although only the current edition is presented in this guide, the Library maintains previous paper versions of the National Codes, which can be consulted at any time.

Free online access

Some chapters of the Quebec Construction Code and of the National Building Code of Canada can be ordered, at no charge, for personal use, in PDF format or direct consultation online. To have access to the documents, visit the NRC Virtual store (in the virtual store, see the left hand side menu, under "Construction publications" for available documents).
