The PolyPublie open access institutional repository hosts and disseminates students' dissertations and theses, as well as scientific articles published by professors and researchers from Polytechnique Montréal.
At Polytechnique Montréal, all professors and researchers that have to comply with the Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on Publications or with FRQ's open access policy for the dissemination of research can get assistance from the Library's Research Dissemination Service.
In order to do so, they can go on the Research Dissemination Service website or on the top-right corner of this page, and click on the big orange button called "Article deposit(s) by the author". This will open a preconfigured email in which the author joins the Accepted manuscript (post-print) of his article before sending it to the indicated email address. The email content provides the authorization to the Library to deposit the manuscript in PolyPublie.
A team of librarians and technicians from the Library will then check the editor's policies and guidelines, deposit the document in PolyPublie and manage the embargo period that may be required.
For several years now, librarians at Polytechnique Montréal have been following the issues related to open access.
As part of the complementary workshop for graduate studies CAP7005E - Handling of scientific and technical information, our librarians inform all PhD students on the issues related to open access to scientific information.
This debate is gaining momentum in the world of scientific publishing and it is important that the researchers from Polytechnique's community be aware of the various options available when they publish. Also, the librarians from the Library's consulting services are available to answer questions regarding open access.
This button allows you to send the documents you wish to deposit, by email, to the Research Dissemination Service.
