Resources by Document Type - Linguistic Tools

This guide offers quick access to dictionaries and other general linguistic references as well as encyclopedias and books specialized in science and engineering.

The following table gives you direct access to the "Dictionaries & Encyclopedias" tabs that are present in the Library's resource guides by engineering fields:

ANTIDOTE software is a writing tool that includes :

• A grammar checker
• Twelve dictionaries
• Eleven language guides

Did you know? Antidote (French and English) is installed on computers located in the Library lobby, in addition to laptops available at the Service Desk!

The section of specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias is at the beginning of the 7th floor's silent zone. You can find a pink dot on the call number of the dictionaries and a green dot on the call number of the encyclopedias and other reference books. Take note that you can borrow the dictionaries for 3 days.
