EndNote

Installation

The Library provides EndNote 2025 free of charge to the Polytechnique community. EndNote is installed on the self-serve computer stations in the Library, on the laptops that can be borrowed from the Library, and on many of the Lassonde building 6th-floor computer labs.

EndNote 2025 can be downloaded on both institutional and personal computers from: http://www.polymtl.ca/biblio/en/endnote/. Identify yourself by entering your student ID and email address and then read and accept the conditions of use.

Following this, you will receive an email containing the links to download EndNote for Windows or Mac OSX.

If applicable, employees can also install EndNote from the Software Center: Start ⚊> All ⚊> Software Center ⚊> EndNote 2025.

Download the .zip file on your computer and extract the files before installing EndNote!

How to install EndNote 2025:

  1. Create a copy of your EndNote library, if applicable (see p. 6 of the Manuel d'utilisation EndNote 2025);

  2. Close all the files from the Microsoft Office suite (ex.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  3. Uninstall any previous EndNote versions (X9, 21, etc.) if applicable;

  4. Launch the installation;

  5. Follow the steps in the Installation Procedure;

  6. Very important! After installing EndNote, click Help ➞ Check for Updates... and install the updates.
