Maps and Geospatial Data

This website is useful to obtain satellite images and aerial photos for the US territory­. Some data, like satellite images from Landsat 7 and 8, are available from other regions in the world, including Canada, data acquisition requires the creation of a free user account.

CanImage is a raster image containing information from Landsat 7 ortho-images that have been resampled and based on the National Topographic System (NTS) at the 1:50 000 scale in the UTM projection.
The images consist of 8 spectral bands and have a resolution of 15 metres.
Data type: Remote Sensing Data; GeoTIFF files (16.45 MB); also available in French.
Can be opened in GIS and other land-management applications.
