Follow these steps to install and begin using Zotero.
To take full advantage of Zotero, it's recommended to install the software on your computer, but also to create an online account and to install the browser extension Zotero Connector.

To ensure that the Zotero reference is properly formatted, one can set the header of the right-hand pane (info section) to display the formatted reference in a chosen style.
To do this, follow these steps:
Edit → Settings → General → Item pane header → Bibliography entry
Configuring the link resolver will give you access through the Library ressources to the full text versions of references in the Zotero library. Thus, it will not be necessary to save PDFs in your Zotero library. Follow these steps:
Edit → Settings → Advanced → OpenURL → Resolver → Copy and paste the following link in the text box : https://polymtl.on.worldcat.org/atoztitles/link
If, after double-clicking on the reference in Zotero, the full text is still unfindeable :
The Polytechnique community now has access to unlimited reference and document storage with Zotero! Access your references and documents online and share them with your colleagues, without worrying about storage space.
Use the email @polymtl.ca to create your account on Zotero.org (Register) to automatically get free unlimited storage.
If the address @polymtl.ca was used to open the account you automatically receive the service!
If you used another email to open the account, go to the Zotero online account settings, then add the @polymtl.ca address in the "Manage email addresses" section, as shown in the screenshot below.
To synchronize your online account with your desktop account, you will need to change the preferences in the installed version. Follow these steps in Zotero:
Edit → Settings → Sync → Data Syncing
Enter the username and password you chose when you created your account on the Register page.
