AnyStyle.io allows you to generate references in .bib format from plain text. You will then need to correct any errors in Zotero. For a detailed procedure, see the following page:
Note that this method is recommended for long bibliographies (for example, the bibliography of a thesis). If you only need to import a few references with DOIs or ISBNs, the best option is to use automatic importation with a unique number .
If you prefer to run apps in dark mode, an extension is available to modify Zotero's appearance. This mode also works with Zotero's PDF reader.
Install the Zotero Night extension, available on Github.
Once the import is complete and before creating bibliographies, you need to check that each piece of information is accurate, complete and correctly written for each added reference. To do this, review each field in the Info section on the right side of the Zotero window.
For more information, consult the relevant sections in the Citation Styles tab in this guide.
If the URL field is filled in, it should appear in the reference. If this is not the case, go to Zotero preferences, in the Cite tab, and check the "Include URL for paper references" box, then close and reopen Zotero.
Export a
few references: Select the references (with CTRL+click and/or SHIFT+click) → Right-Click → Export items... → Format: BibTeX → OKExport the whole Zotero library: File → Export Library... → Format: BibTeX → OK
Attention! Do not forget to correct the .bib file!
Add references to a .bib file: Select the reference(s) → Edit → Copy as BibTeX → Paste.
Search for your problem in the Zotero forum. Developers and users use this tool to troubleshoot common issues related to using Zotero.
Consult the Documentation tab or contact one of the Library's specialists if you have any further questions or problems.
